10 days to explore Morocco

During this trip we visit most important sites and monuments in Moroccan imperial cities. Starting from Casablanca, where we visit Hassan II mosque, we drive to Rabat to explore the Kasbah Oudayas, Challa the roman site, then to the ruins of Volubilis  and Fez which began to be prosperous from the time of Idrissids dynasty. We drive across the middle and the High-Atlas Mountains, and we drive to Merzouga where we enjoy a camel ride and a sunset in Sahara, night in a luxury desert camp.

Trip program:

-Day 1: Your arrival to Casablanca (meeting with your leader in the hotel).

-Day 2: Visit of Hassan II mosque, and drive to Rabat the capital of Morocco (visit of the Kasbah des Oudayas, Hassan tour and Med V mausoleum and continuation to Meknes, one night in the hotel.

-Day 3: Visit of Meknes medina, and drive to the capital of Mauritania Tingitana during the roman occupation of north-Africa: Volubilis, in the afternoon we continue to Fez (2 nights in a riad).

Day 4:  Included visit of the medina, it takes usually a hole day. Following your local guide you explore mosaic section, tanneries, handicrafts sections squares, mosques madrasas (Koranic schools) and shrines.(2nd night in the hotel).

Day5: Today we continue to the south across the middle-Atlas Mountains, we stop in few small towns to enjoy the beautiful of landscapes; we walk for about 2 hours in the north side of djebel Ayachi before we reach our hotel in Midelt. (One night)

Day 6: Along the Ziz valley we drive to Arfoud the town of dates and fossils. Then we continue to Erg Echebbi to a small auberge where we leave our big bags and ride camels to our camp in betwin the dunes. (One night in the camp).

Day 7: Today we drive for more than 6 hours to rose’s valley, on the way we visit Todgha gorges and elkhorbat museum. (One night in Berber house in the valley).

Day 8: we start our journey by a short walk for about one hour in the valley, then we drive to kelaa Mgouna where a festival of roses is celebrated in the first week of every year. We visit the beautiful Kasbah of Amerdil and we explore Ouarzazete (one night in Ait Benhaddou.

Day 9: Visit of the Ksar (fortified village), and drive across the high-Atlas mountain by Tichka pass to Marrakech. (2nights in Marrakech).

Day 10: Included visit of Marrakech (last night in the hotel)
