Trekking Djebel Siroua (Sirwa).
Our trek takes place between 1600 and 3300m above sea level, in a volcanic massif of the Anti-Atlas of Morocco. During 5 days walking, we explore beautiful green valleys where terraced saffron crops dominate the vegetation, meadows (Agdals) with houses grouped in agglomerations. we also discover collective granaries of the villages of Amassine, Tachakkoucht and those of other beautiful villages built of carved stones at the foot of the mountain. In winter the Sirwa massif is covered with snow from 1500m above sea level, and the ascent requires a great physical effort and adapted equipment..
Program: 750€/person
- Day 1: Arrival at Marrakech airport and transfer to the hotel.
- Day 2 to day 6 : Transfer by minibus or 4x4, depending on the number of people, to the village of Tachakkoucht, overnight stay with a local family. Afterwards, we begin our hike to Amassine, and continue to the beautiful site of Aziwane. Another night in a sheepfold called Azib Iriri the day before climbing Siroua Peak (3305m). Descent from the summit and overnight stay in our bivouac in Mdist. Continue along the valley to the village of Ait Tigga, then Tizwad and Tamazirt. Our last night is scheduled in the village of Tamalakout (1600m).
Day 7: Transfer from Tamalakout to Marrakech via the Ticka Pass (3260m). Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport.
Included:
-Transfer to the hike starting point and transfer return to Marrakech.
- Transfer from airport to the hotel (depending on your reservation).
- Services of an experienced official mountain guide, cook, and mule drivers dring the hike.
- Accommodation: B&B, homestay, and bivouac. - Meals: Full board during the hike, picnic lunch, hot and cooked meals in the evening. The price does not include: - Travel insurance.
Note: The hike can be done in the opposite direction or extended by one or two days
