Menara garden,
The Menara Garden is a vast garden planted with olive trees developed under the Almoahades dynasty in the 12th century. At the heart of this garden, a large rectangular pool at the foot of a pavilion restaured in the 19th century, this pool serves as a water reservoir to irrigate fruit and vegetable crops and as a suitable place for swimming for Almohad soldiers.
Musée des confluences,
Dar elbacha is one of the most important historical monuments in Marrakech. This palace built in 1910 was the main residence of the Pasha of Marrakech who was a powerful political figure in southern Morocco under the French protectorate. A small portion of the palace has been renovated and transformed into a museum known as Dar El Bacha “ Musée des Confluences”.
Djema Lefna Square,
The main square and the heart of life in Marrakech medina. This popular and lively square attracts more than two million visitors each year. Jemaa el-Fna reflects the diversity of Moroccan identity due to the presence of different ethnic groups of cultures that constitute Morocco: Arabs, Berbers, Gnaouas. Jemaa el-Fna Square has been listed as a cultural and world heritage site since 1985 by UNESCO.
Majorelle Gardens,
Built by Jaques Majorelle a french orientalist painter in 1920 outside the medina of Marrakech, opened to public in 1955 and purchased by Yves Saint laurent and Pierre Berge in 1980. The Majorelle garden is a botanical garden with a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, around 300 species over almost 1 hectare. There is also an Art Deco villa labeled Maisons des Illustres since 2011, and a museum of Berber History in Marrakech.
The Koutoubia mosque.
It was built by the Berber Almohad dynasty in the 12th century. The minaret is the tallest building in Marrakech since its construction. It is today the most famous monument in the city.
The mosque was built during the reign of Abdelmoumen Ibn Ali in 1153. The mosque's highlights are the 70 m high minaret, which closely resembles the Giralda in Seville in Spain built by the same dynasty.
Its name ‘‘Koutoubia’’ means Booksellers Mosque because of the many book stands that surrounded the mosque when it was built. Today it's Marrakesh's most famous landmark.
Badii palace,
This beautiful palace was built by the Saadiens dynasty under the regn of Ahmed el Mansour in the 16th century. The palace, decorated with materials imported from different countries designed to witness the Sultan's wealth and power.
